♥ Little Breaks from Study Sessions

I am on my two week vacation before starting new work in Hong Kong. People say time passes by faster when you are happy or having fun; more than a week has passed but time flies only because I have been so busy with everything.

Finally the apartment in Hong Kong is pretty much settled. 80% of my time/vacation goes to - studying CFA. Exam is in 3 weeks and there's no more time for slacking off. Even so, I manage to get little breaks in between to brighten up my days with refreshing coffee and yummie food.

Starting next week, I will begin a brand new chapter in life with everything new. After years of hard work, I have finally got the job I've wanted and from there I can finally start building my own career and future. Thanks to my family and Dear John for believing in me always and being so supportive the whole time.

Having a brand new life ahead, I may be worried. I may be scared. But with faith in heart, I know I am brave enough to overcome all the uncertainties ahead!

♥ Amber

Surprising Dinner last Saturday at Amber to celebrate me and Dear John's 2nd Anniversary. Just came across the latest Top 50 restaurants in the World list last night and saw Amber is the 37th this year. It is indeed an amazing place with super delicious food! We had tried its signature 8 course tasting menu and it had been a wonderful 3 hour long dinner. It's interior design reminds me of One if By Land in New York City. I guess it's mainly because of the reddish color. By far, One if By Land is the most romantic restaurant I have been and would definitely go back there again in the near future.

My favorite dishes of the night is definitely the Hokkaido sea urchin with lobster jello and caviar, foie gras lollipop and its waygu beef. Its desserts and other dishes are just as delicious!

♥ W hotel - Living Room

Sunday Afternoon tea is one of my favorite weekend activities. After trying the few main ones in Central, I have decided to go somewhere new. The environment at the Living Room at W hotel is very nice. Quiet and relaxing. My friends and I all enjoyed it a lot. Since a friend of mine does not eat meat, we have ordered the low high tea set (all american food without dimsum). Its interesting that the scones are put in a chinese steam basket. The food itself is just average though, nothing too amazing. The chocolate cookies lattee I ordered definitely did not taste anything like chocolate nor cookies. If you have been here for high tea before, I would say try somewhere else before considering come back again.

♥ Prime

A random thought suddenly came to my friend when we were at Elements 2 weeks ago - steak for dinner. As recommended by a friend, we went to Prime - restaurant and bar - for dinner. I have ordered an 8oz sirloin while my boyfriend ordered the 12oz prime ribeye with 2 side dishes, rosemary fries and spinach. It was a very satisfying and delicous dinner.

♥ Valentine's Day Baking

Spent 3 hours on a Thursday night and picked the best cookies and cupcakes among all the ones I've baked. Packed them in a nice box with lots of love ...

♥ Jumbo - Top Deck

Woke up on a rainy Sunday noon, I followed John to a surprise lunch. Despite the bad weather, we managed to have a great afternoon there. Its sunday brunch buffet was good with unlimited flow of champange. Love every activity planned by Dear John on this special Valentine's weekend ♥

Happy Valentine's Day! This is the first Valentine's weekend we get to spend in person and I enjoy every single moment of it. Sat afternoon we went to the chocolate tea buffet at Mandarin Oriental. It was delicious - too much chocolate; too much love. Its afternoon tea sandwiches are yum too. As a tea girl, I have always love tea. I have chosen its Strawberry Green Tea and it tastes very fruity. As for its choco desserts, I wish my stomach was bigger so I could try all its cakes and chocolate drinks! By the time we walked out the hotel, we were both having chocolate coma!

♥ Harlan's

Haven't gone for an afternoon tea for a long time :) Finally this weekend I got a reservation at Harlan's with Ann. It was a very nice catch up with good friend and the view is very nice. If it was not as cold, I would have sat outdoor. The food is yum and as usual my fav would be the smoked salmon sandwich!

♥ A very American NYE Dinner

A very American New Year's Eve dinner at CPK Times Square with sister, friends and John. It was actually my first New Year's Eve in Hong Kong with my favorite American food. Food at CPK in Hong Kong tastes just like the ones in New York City and almost every time I would order the same pizza - shrimps with garlic toppings! yummieeeeeee
