♥ Chasing Harry Winston

It's been more than a year since last time I finished a novel in a few days and was able to be away from either technical guide or CFA books. It just feels so incredibly good to enjoy reading something that's not finance related and feel that I actually have a cultured life again.

Chasing Harry Winston definitely makes top 3 on my favorite booklist. It is very inspiring in terms of relationship and career. Very often, the person you love the most isn't someone you have been with for years or someone known as the perfect husband material. Sometimes Mr. Right just pops up out of the nowhere and changes your entire life.

There is one part about the book that I find it quite amused. I thought the "Game" in relationship is something people love to play in high school and college. But I was amused that somehow this "Game" works perfectly well in the adult world too. However, I am never a big fan of the game and in fact I hate it. I still prefer to do it in the old fashion way - be myself and go for the man I want the most in life. Who cares about this "Game" - rejecting the guy while you hear yourself screaming "Go jump on him" in your head, right?

There is one particular line in the book I like very much "Everyone knew that crazy passion or great love affairs cooled after the first few months or maybe a year. What mattered was finding someone who would be a good partner for a long haul. Who would stay by your side, be a good husband and a good father."

Don't be afraid of changes. Life is one big adventure. Get out of your comfort zone and live the life the way you want it. The most interesting and exciting about life is you never know what happens next. Let your life be filled with surprises.
