♥ Green Waffle Diner

Sunday Brunch @Green Waffle Diner. Loved its steak and egg hash skillet, the steak is so juicy and the pan fried onion tastes super yum with hash! John had ordered the fried chicken and green waffle. Not bad either! A very filling and satisfying brunch on a Sunday noon. Hopefully the hours of walking and shopping this weekend can help taking some calories off of my body from all the eating this weekend.

♥ Caprice

It was my good friend Shiyee's last day in Hong Kong and we went to have a very nice dinner at Caprice together. We started our dinner at around 9:30 and finished at 12am haha This is my second time to Caprice and its tasting menu is always very delicious and enjoyable. I had a great and fun dinner with my good friends. It was a great night to start the weekend. I still remember last time I went to Caprice was with John in April for our 1st anniversary dinner, that was an amazing dinner and I super love its cheese selection!

♥ Red Velvet Cupcakes

Last year on Aug 15th I was making John's birthday cake in the afternoon and went to JFK in the evening. This year I will be doing the same thing on the same day! All the cakes I have baked before were either yellow/brown or choco colors so this time I was planning to make something different - red velvet cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting. I've learned one trick that makes life so much easier when you cant find all the ingredients you need. If you dont have buttermilk, its okay. Just add a tablespoon of white distilled vinegar in a cup of milk and stands for 5 min then it can be used to substitute buttermilk :)

I'm off to Hong Kong now and will make more yummie desserts whenever I have time. Enjoy your weekend!

♥ Promises in a Ring

A blue box with white ribbon can always make a girl smile. Somehow it is true. But to me, it is not because of its renowned brand. It is simply the love and meaning behind it. Yesterday a good friend of mine from Paris facebooked me. She told me she was having a blast this summer with her new boyfriend and that she finally knew how I feel. I am really happy for her! Love is simple and yet it is difficult. Every time when I look at the ring on my finger, I feel safe. It's like magic which drives away my loneliness and fear and brings me joy and warmth. Because I know it is not just a ring, but a priceless promise from you.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast. It is not proud, it is not rude. It is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails ...

♥ Berlin

Welcoming dinner prepared by Stern

I was organizing pictures in my iPhoto and came across pictures I took in Berlin during my junior year spring break. It was my first "cold" spring break. When I was there, it rained and snowed. Despite the weather, Berlin is a nice pretty city. I like it but it is not as beautiful as I thought it was. During the trip I also went to Dresden and it is definitely much prettier as I am always fond of medival and classical European style architecture.

German Sausages

Authentic German restaurant - Alpenstueck! The whole menu is in German and the waiters could barely speak English. Don't ask me what I had ordered because I had absolutely no idea lol all I know was the food they recommended was super delicious!
